While many may think of hot tubs as a luxury item, reserved for those that have the means to enjoy the fine life, for others a hot tub is an indispensable part of making it through the day. The scientifically proven benefits associated with regular therapeutic hot tub use are beyond dispute and even prescribed by many doctors as a form of treatment for pain, stiffness, arthritis, diabetes and more.
A prepared, level base of suitable material e.g. flagged patio or concrete slab to withold the spa's weight when in operation must be laid prior to delivery of the spa. Loading requirement is 95lb per square foot.
A 40 Amp external power supply with an RCD circuit breaker must be installed by a qualified electrician. Also, an isolator switch - situated a minimum of 2 metres away from the spa - must be installed with a power cable from the isolation switch terminating at the spa position (leave at least 2 metre surplus cable).
