Short profile:

Four Lanes Community Junior School is maintained by the Education Department of Hampshire County Council. We are a non-denominational Community School with 12 classrooms for boys and girls from seven to eleven years of age. The standard admission number of pupils at this school, agreed by the County Council, is 90 per year group. Our school also has an active Community Centre which operates within the school building.

Detailed description:

Parents and Grandparents are welcomed into school to support the children in class activity, to hear readers, to support library time, to accompany children on a range of school visits.

In line with current legislation we will need to have the vetting arrangements undertaken, but this can be organised though school.

Parent support is very helpful. Please contact the school office or the class teachers.

We do ask that everyone who comes in will sign the school's confidentiality agreement.

Four Lanes is part of Hampshire's Junior Road Safety Officer Scheme. Two of the older children are trained and will engage in regular sessions with both Junior and Infant school children.

All children in the school will have a range of learning experiences to allow them to perform to the best of their ability. All National Curriculum subjects are taught, with some being taught in blocks, eg, Design Technology and Art. Others will be taught for a week in consecutive days and others, including English and Maths, daily.
