Launched in September 2006 foodreactions.org is the fruit of the very successful lactose.co.uk, triumphing top or near to the top in all search engines in its related subjects. Lactose.co.uk first made its appearance in 1999 after I decided to pass all the information I was learning about food allergies and intolerance when trying to tackle my daughter's severe conditions. During this study I learnt why I reacted to dairy, discovering having had lactose intolerance since at least I was 14. At that time, with the exception of 2 or 3 web sites lactose intolerance was inexistent on the internet. Although doctors tried to help they found no answer. They never heard of food/lactose intolerance and shockingly, one of the doctors looking after Rebecca called milk allergy ' a myth' .

In the meantime, I discovered about lactose intolerance, and found an explanation to my aggressive reactions every time I had dairy. Like many others I had no idea about lactose intolerance and always thought I was allergic to milk. Lactose.co.uk moved on and expanded, and a year later information about Irritable bowel syndrome was added. This was after I found out that a large number of IBS sufferers are wrongly diagnosed and were actually lactose intolerant. This is so true that several people have told me how lactose.co.uk has changed their life and after years abstaining from a long list of foods a simple capsule of digestive enzymes was the answer to avoid all the misery.

And finally lactose.co.uk has evolved to foodreactions.org, a name that better explains my aim... to help all persons with any type of reaction to food, whether caused by an allergy, an intolerance or another condition/disease that leads to their symptoms. They all can be controlled or treated and the aim of foodreactions.org is to help you eat with the least pain possible.
