FLUSHDYKE JUNIOR & INFANT SCHOOL

The school was built in 1912. It has a central hall with four teaching areas, stock rooms, staffroom, library, computer suite, headteacher’s room and reception office. School had a two-classroom extension built in 2003 and the whole school was refurbished and decorated at that time. At the same time, a Foundation Stage Unit was created, and this opened in October 2003.

The school is a Community Junior and Infants School, maintained by the City of Wakefield Education Authority. It caters for boys and girls from 3 to 11 years of age.

Pupils may start school on a part-time basis two terms before the term in which they become four (see admissions arrangements).
