FLORA DESIGN

Flora Design, formed by Flora McArthur in 2001, is a garden and landscape design consultancy offering a professional and friendly design service. Although based in Bristol she will consider projects in all parts of the UK. Flora was trained at the Oxford College of Garden Design.

Size of Garden

All gardens are considered; a beautiful and sophisticated garden can be created in the smallest urban garden to a large rural retreat.

Uniqueness

One of the most important aspects of garden design is understanding clients’ needs and lifestyle. Every person or family is different and so each plan is unique, tailored to meet your individual needs. We want the garden to feel like an extension of you and your home and be used to the full, whether entertaining friends, enjoying quality family time or sitting contemplating the world.

Sympathetic Design

We also believe that the site of a garden, local environment and adjacent architecture are inherently linked. Acknowledging this in the design process helps to create a strong, harmonious design and a garden that is more sympathetic to its surroundings.

Practical

Flora Design garden plans are not only creative in the use of space but practical too and are designed to be built, not just look pretty on the page; so terraces are big enough to sit comfortably on and pergolas are high to walk under, even when covered in plants.
