FLEETVILLE JUNIOR SCHOOL

We enjoy a wide ranging musical curriculum allowing the children to learn a large variety of musical instruments from the piano to mini bassoon. We offer a number of opportunities for participation in concerts from traditional choirs and bands to the steel band. Notably, our choirs have performed at the O2 and Royal Albert Hall this year as well as at more local venues.

Our pupils participate in a variety of sports, individually and in teams throughout the school – we have enjoyed repeated success in these fields. There is a wide variety of interest and sports clubs available at lunchtimes and after school including mini tennis, reading, karate, training with Watford football club, basketball, drama, science and art clubs and family enjoyment and learning activities. ICT is a particular strength with a portable ICT centre, regular year group conferencing, children contributing to their on-line Learning Journals and using the Link and Learn website to support beyond the school day.

Pupils study French and enjoy a wide variety of visits and trips throughout their years, with the week away at Manor Adventure, walking the high ropes and zooming down the zip wire, in Year 6 a particular highlight!
