Short profile:
Consistently high standards are achieved with pupils aspiring to reach their maximum potential and making good progress (with pupils developing lively, enquiring minds; the ability to use language and number effectively; the ability to question and argue rationally and the ability to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills.)
Children and children work happily and productively together with pupils receiving guidance and opportunities to extend their personal development (to thus develop personal moral values, respect for religious values, and tolerance of other races, religions and ways of life. Children also learn to appreciate human achievements and aspirations.)
Flash Ley Nursery Classes are developed as an educational nursery with their own aims, objectives and curriculum, so as to give your children a sound foundation from which to progress into mainstream education.
Detailed description:
Our school was formed in 1988 following the re-organisation of Stafford schools although there has been a school on this site since 1951. We are housed in the former Middle School building and this means that we have plenty of space and very good facilities.
Pupils are consistently provided with good quality teaching (so that their learning is of the highest standard possible, helping pupils to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to adult life and employment in a fast changing world; to understand the world in which they live and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations.) Children are encouraged and supported in their efforts to live a healthy life style.
Children are provided with a safe and stimulating environment.
Resources are used efficiently and effectively.
High standards of behaviour are encouraged by consistently and fairly applying our school rules and values, working towards a culture where everyone behaves with good manners, respect and co-operation.
