We provide advice and practical help for staff who want to get involved locally and play a real part in the communities they serve. Our staff are very proactive in their local communities, helping with local and national fundraising events and donating their time to help good causes and charities. We run and take part in hundreds of events nationwide supporting a wide variety of local and national charities. Big or small, our community activities capture the imagination.

For example, our funeral directors in Surrey and Berkshire offer the use of their minibus to provide transport for local community groups and care homes; Mason and Gerald Martin in Hartlepool donated a memorial to eight soldiers who had been killed in the Second World War and buried in France so that their families could pay their respects in their hometown; across the country staff have collected toys, books and Easter eggs to donate to schools, hospitals and hospices for children and many intrepid staff have taken part in sponsored treks by bike and on foot. Through these activities and more our staff have been able to raise thousands of pounds for charities in their local communities. We work in a unique industry and we succeed by helping people through difficult times with compassion, respect, openness and care.
