Short profile:
Versatile, experienced and professional – our instructors have been trained by us to deliver the highest quality courses. Each instructor has a minimum of 10 years service in one of the UK fire services. The Fire Training Academy is an approved provider by the Institute of Fire Engineers, and is a member of the British Fire Consortium and the IFPO. We also hold ISO9001:2000 so you can be sure that we operate to the same high standards every time. We also offer Fire Risk Assessment services, performed by our experienced consultants, who have had many years experience performing risk assessments, and many other services to provide a complete fire safety solution to help you protect your business.
Detailed description:
Our five main courses cover all possible fire safety training requirements. These are an excellent package of approved, tried and tested courses, already used by many organisations across the UK.
Fire Awareness Training - Basic Fire Awareness training must be carried out for all employed personnel and should be repeated where necessary. British Standard 9999 recommends that this should be done a minimum of annually.
Fire Awareness Training with Extinguishers - Basic Fire Awareness training must be carried out for all employed personnel and should be repeated where necessary. British Standard 9999 recommends that this should be done a minimum of annually.
Fire Awareness Training with Live Practical Fire Extinguishers - Section 13. 3 (a) of the RRO states that the responsible person must, where necessary, take measures for fire fighting in the premises. The live fire training addition to the Fire Awareness Training will exceed all the requirements of the RRO and will prove to be an valuable asset should a fire occur on your premises.
Fire Warden Training - Fire Wardens/Fire Marshalls must be appointed, where necessary, to assist the responsible person in providing "safety assistance" in the event of an emergency. The training of "competent persons" is a requirement under the RRO.
Fire Safety Training for Managers - "Fire Safety Manager" can be described as the person who has the day to day responsibility for running fire safety in the premises. This course will give the Fire Safety Manager all the necessary skills, knowledge and training to fulfil his or her role.
Train the Trainer - This Train the Trainer course is designed to enable the successful candidate to facilitate in-house Fire Awareness Courses and Fire Warden Courses. The fire trainer will receive all the necessary skills, including the outstanding presentation skills, to enable them to carry out training of other staff.
