As a school we set high standards for the behaviour we expect from all our children. We are delighted to say that the children meet these standards and this leads us to being a very happy, caring school.
Detailed description:
The following activities are available to pupils at various times:
Junior Children (Key Stage 2): Football, Netball, Rounders, Tag Rugby, Shinty, Climbing, Sewing, singing.
There are opportunities for children to learn either guitar or violin during school time through peripatetic tutors.
Pupils are given the opportunity to take part in a number of educational activities/trips throughout the year, for example:
Romans, Exeter Museum.
Bristol science museum.
Local camping trip, Outdoor centre residential visit
The Queens theatre
Oceanfest
Lifeskills training day.
All pupils benefit from activities such as theatrical productions by visiting performers (Theatre Alibi, Multi-story Productions, Freehand Theatre) and local musicians and artists who regularly visit the school.
Sports Festivals with other schools include, Athletics, Football and Tag rugby tournaments, junior life skills event, technology workshops at SMCC, Multi skills and Tarka Tennis.
Year 5's took part in an actiity day at 'The Mill' in Feb 09along with all the other year 5's in the learning community as part of a SEAL initiative.
