Family Tree
are a lifestyle shop based in Clerkenwell London since 2004.
Selecting independently designed, crafted interior, accessories and gifts from around the world, along side items from local designer makers. We were showcasing products and oddities made by our friends and their families, hence our shop name "Family Tree". Even today we still connect with designer makers to support and encourage their growth and success.
We aim to select a little something to compliment and enhance living. It could be simple, beautiful, make you smile, be a labour of love, result of pure passion, hand made or have great story.
Detailed description:
Family Tree's Matthew and Takako Copeland create own range of in house products, which currently consists of small interior products and jewellery.
Matt and Takako both have graphic design backgrounds. Matt went to work with shaker furniture then John Jones art framers to learn wood working. Takako graduated from Central Saint Martins then apprenticed silversmith to learn jewellery making and gemology. Pair opened Family Tree on 2004 and started to create own product range. They get inspiration from their background (English + Japanese), love of mid century design, traveling and diverse living in London.
All Family Tree products are made by themselves or made in UK using hand crafts and small manufactures.
