We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.
During the year pupils have visited two European capitals - London and Paris. Closer to home, pupils have been to see a pantomime in Birmingham, watched Peter Pan on ice in Nottingham and planted trees at Rosliston Forestry Centre. Our children participate in many sporting activities including sports day, inter school sports, swimming gala, Kwik cricket, football, netball and tag rugby. On a musical note our children have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument and to sing with the choir at the National Indoor Arena. Every year the entire school stages a performing arts extravaganza at the Brewhouse. Other events that have taken place over the past year are open evenings, Walk to school week, parents and carers lunch and grandparents' tea. We have enjoyed visits from many people including book fairs, photographers, theatre groups, clown school, local sports personalities, Rev. Bob Hollings and Santa. Out of School Hours Learning Opportunities (OSHLO's) include cooking, arts and crafts, judo, football and calligraphy. Pupils also participate in a variety of fundraisers both for school and charities. Events include chocolate bingo, balloon races and themed non-uniform days.
