Based in Cowes, just off the South Coast of England, FB Fabrications are specialists in supplying high quality welding and fabrications to the marine, manufacturing and wind turbine industries throughout the UK and abroad. Our highly skilled and qualified team, which includes coded welders, produce aluminium, stainless steel & mild steel fabrications, boat hulls and superstructures to quality approved standards.
FB Fabrications undertake a wide variety of projects, from small single commissions to 30 tonne fabrications, and our extensive range of services include design, construction, full testing capabilities, site work, and repair. We have a reputation for quality fabrications which has allowed us to build up partnerships of trust and understanding with our customers as well as our reliability when delivering to target dates.
Detailed description:
The FB Fabrications workshop has a combined area of 800m2, and is serviced by three gantry cranes of two, three and forty tonnes, and a seven tonne forklift. Our well-equipped workshops contain numerous welding plants, plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment, guillotines capable of cutting up to 12mm thick plate, and a 100 tonne press brake. Machining facilities include CNC milling & turning capabilities. All fabrications can be shot-and-bead-blasted, and can be supplied complete with metal treatment including painting, electro-polishing, anodising and galvanising.
Our extensive range of facilities and finishes enable us to produce complete finished products which we can also pressure test and load test up to 40 tonne proof load.
We have successfully completed fabrication and machining projects of all sizes, from small bracketry to 40m mould frames for wind turbine production. Our clients include Vestas, SP Systems, Trinity House Lighthouse service and Micronair.
