Musculoskeletal problems affect joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves, etc. Problems can present in the form of pain, stiffness, headaches, dizziness and other unusual sensations. At Excel Physiotherapy and Acupunture all patients will benefit from an extensive initial assessment followed by an individually tailored treatment regime.
Our therapists offer a wide variety of treatment techniques: Manual therapy - our therapists are highly trained in specialised 'hands-on' manual therapy techniques including spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation, soft tissue release and neural mobilisation techniques. Detailed description:
Clinical Pilates - the application of core stability exercises progressing from basic static stabilisation to higher level functional dynamic stabilisation. Utilised increasingly by physiotherapists to aid treatment of not just the lower back but all other types of injuries. Rehabilitation Programs - all patients will be encouraged to actively particpate in an appropriate exercise program to compliment therapies utilized in the practice. Ergonomic Advice - as part of the rehabilitation program, correctional advice on patient's daily functional and working environment will be provided. ‘Excel Physiotherapy and Acupuncture’ are contracted to enable treatment of members of all major health insurance companies If requested payment can be sought directly through the patient’s insurance company Patients paying by cash/cheque must pay at point of service delivery A cancellation fee may be charged if less than 24 hours notice is given or if the patient does not attend the treatment session
