Short profile:

At Everards, we are extremely proud that 93% of our licensees would sign up with us again*. Whether you are a complete novice or experienced licensee, an Everards pub offers you the chance to run your own pub business with the support you need from a brewery with 160 years of experience.

Running a pub is a rewarding career. It involves lots of hard work but if you want to enjoy the freedom of working for yourself in hours that suit you and with the opportunity to make a great living then this may be what you are looking for.

We develop and reward our licensees- pictured are our Award Winning Licensees of 2009. 97% of our licensees feel prepared to run their business successfully, so even if there isn’t a pub for you at the moment do leave your details. We’d love to keep in touch and match you to your perfect pub when the time is right.

Detailed description:

William Everard brewed the first pint of Everards ale in 1849, and stated “No effort shall be found wanting in the production and supply of genuine ale of first rate quality”.

Today, 160 years later, Everards Brewery is very much family run company with values that echo that of William Everard – We aim to provide first class quality goods and services to our customers.

We firmly believe in combining innovation and modern technology with the best of traditional values and practices throughout the business, whether it’s customer service, brewing, or our pubs. “Tradition with ambition” as Chairman Richard Everard says.

Our pub estate comprises over 170 pubs that vary from city centre venues and community locals to village inns. All our pubs are within our heartland, a 70 mile radius of our Leicestershire brewery (pictured below).

We brew high quality award winning ales and have a core range featuring Beacon Bitter, Tiger Best Bitter, Premium Ale Original and Sunchaser Blonde.

We also brew seasonal and event beers at various points throughout the year, including popular Stout Pitch Black, Ginger Ale Sly Fox, Autumn Ale Equinox and popular Festive Ale Sleighbell.

In line with our innovation policy we worked with CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale) to introduce a new form of tasting notes for real ale. The ‘Cyclops’ tasting notes are easier to understand and help bar staff and drinkers alike to choose and compare real ales- this has fast become the industry standard.

Looking towards the future, Everards Brewery will stay firmly in the hands of the Everards family. We have long term plans to expand our pub estate and to increase the popularity of our ales both inside and outside our heartland, “concentrating, ” to quote Richard Everard “on developing the business for the next generation.”
