Short profile:

The ESO has a world-class reputation for a high standard of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and prides itself on its international links, attracting lecturers from all over the world. More than 20 different nationalities are currently represented at the school, with students from nearly 30 different countries graduating since the school began. Boxley House, the school's academic site, is a large 17th Century manor house surrounded by 17 acres of parkland, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Although set in the heart of the Kent countryside, Boxley is just 5 minutes from the county town of Maidstone and enjoys good access to road and rail links to both London and the continent. The ESO's busy, dedicated teaching clinic is located in Maidstone town centre itself, ensuring maximum convenience for our patients.

Detailed description:

The ESO offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and seminars. The Integrated Masters (M.Ost) is a 4 year full-time programme accredited by the General Osteopathic Council and validated by the University of Greenwich. The osteopathic teaching at the ESO has always reflected an eclectic view and the school is renowned for its broad approach to osteopathy and the wide range of techniques it teaches. The MSc Osteopathy is an innovative postgraduate scheme designed to provide support for new graduates but also suited to established practitioners wishing to refresh and consolidate their osteopathic practice.

It is a full-time programme running mainly at weekends, validated by the University of Greenwich. The ESO can also register you for an MPhil/PhD degree. The ESO is there to support all osteopaths throughout their career with a range of postgraduate seminars which count towards Continuing Professional Development, a requirement of the General Osteopathic Council.

The school has an active international department and has academic links with a number of European osteopathic institutions. The School's Erasmus Policy Statement can be found within the International Partners section. The ESO is proud to provide a friendly, caring and supportive environment in which to study and everyone involved is committed to helping students meet their professional goal.
