Short profile:
The Ettington Chase Hotel is located in the small village of Ettington just to the south-west of the world-renowned Stratford-upon-Avon, made famous as the hometown of playwright William Shakespeare. As with many of the Principal Hayley venues the Chase centres around a traditional main building with other more modern buildings in the background which are primarily for conferences.
The Chase contains a total of 130 bedrooms, some of which are standard rooms and some of which are executive rooms. Each is well-equipped and modern in design, featuring items such as wireless internet and a desk and so proving its worth for business visitors in particular.
The hotel has a particular focus on offering top quality conference venues and to this end there are 25 modern and stylish facilities. The rooms feature all the relevant conference equipment and vary in size and shape helping to ensure the necessary flexibility for a range of activities and events.
Detailed description:
Also like some of the other hotels, it is set within an area of parkland and gardens; it is amid 11 acres of grounds and yet is just a short distance from the M40. Indeed, if you are travelling from the north all you need to do is exit the M40 from junction 15 before heading south for a few miles, while if coming to the Ettington Chase Hotel from the south you will need to exit the M40 from junction 11 at Banbury. Alternatively, the train station at Stratford is approximately 12 miles from the hotel and Birmingham International is the nearest airport. Conveniently, car parking is both complimentary and available in abundance.
While the hotel’s facilities are modern and extensive, its proximity to Stratford transforms it into an excellent destination with a historic and fascinating city right on the doorstep. Here visitors can explore something of the region’s history and experience some of the Shakespeare-related culture.
The Ettington Chase Hotel joins a whole host of other countryside hotels in the group, some of which are fairly near to Stratford. There is the St John’s Hotel just to the north in Solihull, the Sedgebrook Hall and the Horwood House to the south-east and the associate hotel the Hawkstone Park in Shrewsbury.
When it comes to meal times guests can make the most of the hotel’s onsite restaurant with its extensive menu and tasty cuisine. Whatever your purpose in visiting the hotel you are able to make the most of the venue’s leisure facilities which include an interestingly-shaped swimming pool, a sauna, a gym, a whirlpool and an all-weather tennis court.
The hotel’s modern bedrooms have benefited from a recent investment. There are 130 in total, a figure made up of standard rooms and executive rooms. The rooms are designed to help business visitors as well as leisure guests and so have amenities conducive to working and facilities to help you relax and unwind.
