It is set amidst the splendour of the North Wessex Down, close by the lovely Bourne Valley, in an area designated one of outstanding natural beauty.
The house, which for over 100 years has been a country retreat, still retains the feel of a private home with a friendly host, warm and caring staff, an abundance of fresh flowers in comfortable lounges, and bedrooms where you are pampered with fluffy towels and robes, local spring water and home made biscuits."

All of our 19 bedrooms overlook the gardens and are decorated individually to provide a luxury environment with a unique feel and atmosphere.
As you would expect from a First Class Hotel, each room has the highest standard of furnishings and bathroom facilities.
Deluxe bedrooms have in-bath showers, comfortable sofas and many have King Size Beds. The Madingley Room has Chandeliers and a silk draped four-poster bed. The Lymington Room has a luxurious Victorian Slipper Bath with a seperate walk-in shower. Premier Deluxe Rooms all have a jacuzzi and separate multi-jet shower, king size bed and sofa. Ferndown has a canopy bed with doors leading out to a private patio overlooking the herb garden, while Exeter and St.Albans have Four-Poster Beds Kensington Suite is furnished with a King Size Roccoco style carved bed, a 2 person sunken jacuzzi, a separate Multi-Jet Shower and a seperate lounge, while both rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens.
