The school has classes organised, as far as possible on an age basis, each with their own class teacher. Each class contains children of completely mixed ability. We believe this philosophy improves the learning process for all children.
Detailed description:
While most activities take place on a class basis, there are many opportunities for children to develop their awareness of the importance of social relationships. Some children attend violin lessons, or combine for football, cricket, netball and rounders. Small groups of children - sometimes from more than one class are encouraged to work together on various projects. Many of our projects are resource-based and involve the children in not just recording information but finding it too! Your child will also be encouraged to join school ‘club’ activities which are many and varied.
