Short profile:
Children receive their full National Curriculum entitlement which consists of the core subjects of Mathematics, English, Science and ICT and the Foundation subjects such as History and Geography. French at a basic level is also taught.
Other activities are available and include the following:
At 8 a.m. each morning a breakfast club is open to all pupils. Once they have eaten, they engage in a range of activities that promote their learning and social skills. We also operate Wrap around Care for pupils of nursery age who can access care from 8am to 4pm.
Staff are committed to offering extra curriculum activities which extend and enrich pupils' experience. Successful clubs such as cookery, craft, choir and gardening run at various times throughout the year.The grounds at Esh Winning Primary School are spacious and the Gardening club allows pupils to develop the area. 'Mr. Football' trains pupils in both key stages after school one day each week and prepares older pupils for the school football team. Seasonal sports such as cricket, tennis and rugby are also offered.
Pupils also take part in Cycle Proficiency activities and are therefore helped to keep safe when out on the public roads.
