Epchris Guest House is nestled at the foot of the Torrs in the Wilder Valley, in one of Ilfracombe most beautiful, peaceful and tranquil spots but remains in close proximity to the Town Centre, Tunnels Beach and Seafront offering the best of both worlds. The Epchris is the oldest building in the Torrs dating back to 1831 set in 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens with the added bonus of a heated outdoor swimming pool (available May-September) and private car parking.

The main house also has a sun terrace from which you can breakfast al fresco, enjoy a drink and take in the breathtaking scenery across the Wilder valley. This beautifully restored and appointed house retaining many original features is the ideal base from which to relax unwind and enjoy all that Ilfracombe and North Devon has to offer. From the Dining room and terrace to bedrooms and bathrooms every care has been taken to make sure all needs are catered for and to make your stay one to remember, for all the right reasons. We have the added bonus of 1 ground floor suite specially adapted for guests with mobility issues, the en suites are wet rooms.
We are happy to have dogs stay with us also by prior arrangement; there is a nightly charge of £5. We have for use by guests free of charge Gun cabinets. Wi-Fi available in public areas and in some rooms, free of charge.
We are happy to cater for special dietary needs, please let us know in advance what these may be, so we can discuss your requirements, thank you. All rooms are en suite and have flat screen TV’s with freeview, DVD player, Hairdryer, Alarm Clock radio (some rooms have iPod docking stations), all have generous beverage trays and pampering toiletries. All rooms have stunning views over the garden, Wilder Valley and Ilfracombe.

Great stay
Kirsty and Mart Greeted by owner, Nicky, on arrival, was shown to room, which was lovely, and all looked new. The grounds were well kept and the swimming pools were lovely, just a shame we couldn’t use them as it was raining. Breakfast was delicious, and served wonderfully by the owner’s son. There were only two minor downfalls for us which was no hairdryer, which once mentioned was fixed in minutes and no socket for the DVD player to be plugged into, however we didn’t ask about it, but are sure it would have been sorted quickly if we did. Would definitely recommend.
