Enigma String Quartet are a professional group established in 1995. The ensemble members are all graduates of the Birmingham Conservatoire and free lance with orchestras such as Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Southern Sinfonia, Manchester Camerata, Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Orchestra da Camera, Midland Sinfonia and Queens Park Sinfonia.

They have played in string sections backing artists such as Il Divo, K...atherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Smokey Robinson and George Benson and, as a quartet, they have played on albums recorded by Richard Hawley and Scott Matthews plus many others. The quartet have performed live on many occasions with Irish singing sensation Imelda May as part of Candybox Burlesque at The Glee Club Birmingham. They were featured on the BBC television soap 'Doctors' and in 2009 they recorded incidental music for the sound track to the British feature film 'Nativity'. The quartet also perform regularly at weddings and other private functions at venues such as Swinfen Hall, Moor Hall, Moxhull Hall, New Hall, Birmingham Council House, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, The ICC, Dunstall Hall, Bolsover Castle, Chatsworth House as well as public recitals, often invited back year after year by music societies.
