The Elizabeth House also has a versatile Function Room for Conferences, Training Courses and Private Lunches, Teas and Dinners. The Hotel is owner managed. Originally two Victorian Houses The Elizabeth House Hotel was opened some 60 years ago by an ex cruise liner steward. Photos and pictures in the Reception Lounge area remind visitors of this connection with the sea. No 42 As part of a sustained programme of improvement, the present owners added No. 42 The Avenue in 2001, which was, for many years, the Rectory for St.
Barnabas Church and latterly the constituency office of the late Sir James Hill, one of Southampton's M.P's. Hospitality, where all staff showed confident and proactive social skills fluent service. Cleanliness, which is thorough throughout, bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas, which present a well maintained and quality driven standard. Beds are comfortable and offer a good nights sleep, bathrooms offer quality and comfort power showers give commendable water pressure. Food is a strength well cooked and appetising.
Times of meal service and range of dishes exceed expectations. All staff are genuinely friendly and eager to please. Ample car parking is useful for the location the building is well maintained and attractive
