I became an electrician in 1995 and was an apprentice with a company called R&P Gibbs in Cheshunt, I trained at what is now Herts Regional College, I believe i built up some great core values working with R&P Gibbs such as pride in a job well done and respect for others property and ensuring it was left how it was found.
When I left R&P Gibbs I went self employed working for other contractors and building companies, I decided at the end of 2004 that I wanted to start my own business, so in 2005 thats what I did. I read many business books and spoke to people about business and I had a massive dream and vision about building a national electrical company, I started to employ people, however I found for the most part they did not share my values on giving a great service and so at the end of 2008 decided that building that business and employing people was not for me.

y this time I had started a new business showing people how to save money on their househlold bills and if they wanted, to earn a second income, you can find out more about that on the save money and earn money links below. This business has now allowed me to semi retire from the electrical business and given me financial security among other things, it has also allowed me to be selective about where I work and when, I used to drive miles to jobs and including into London which sometimes took a couple of hours to get out of in the evening.
I now only work localally serving Hertford, Ware, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage, this allows me to keep overheads to a minimum such as the ever increasing fuel costs along with van maintenance wear and tear and also my time travelling.
We moved to Hertford early in 2008 and I really love the town, I now live in Bengeo and can see us staying here for a long time.
