Testing of Live line hot sticks, operating rods and insulated aerial devices can be carried out at our laboratory or at your premises by our on–site testing units.

Gloves, Sleeves and ‘Cover-up’ kit are tested under laboratory conditions using the latest equipment available.

We offer a complete and friendly service tailored to your needs, which can include collection of equipment, cleaning, testing, certification, replacement of failed items and return delivery to you.

On receipt at the laboratory, gloves and sleeves are documented and then washed and dried in our industrial machines (New equipment, for acceptance testing is not washed). They are then visually inspected by our technicians, using inflation equipment. The next stage is electrical testing, at the correct voltage for their class, which is carried out using Hanco test equipment; finally they are inflated and visually inspected again, then stamped and packed for return to the customer.

At Earthco we take a pride in providing a high quality service to our customers. We believe in high standards and efficient, friendly service. We visit a large number of our customers ‘on-site’ and our technicians travel all over the country from the south of Cornwall to the North of Scotland and from East Anglia to Wales and into Northern Ireland. We welcome visitors (by arrangement) to the Lab and regularly give demonstrations of testing to newly qualified linesmen as part of the service.
