Detailed description:
The school's statement for inclusion, diversity and racial equality states "that all children are given opportunities according to their individual needs and each pupil is a valued member of our community." Every effort is made to provide access for all pupils to a broad, rich and relevant curriculum.
Teachers plan on a half termly basis and ensure work is differentiated for all groups from pupils with SEN to GAT pupils.
Eldon Grove Primary School has strong links with parents and the community. Staff make them themselves accessible to parents and hold two parental consultation evenings each academic year.
We also have a successful parents' groups PEGS (Parents of Eldon Grove School), over the years they have raised thousands of pounds for extra things which have enriched the education of our children.
We have strong links with local churches and assemblies are regularly led by personnel from the parish.
We encourage a wide range of visitors from various walks of life, enabling the curriculum to be brought to life.
