EDMUND DE MOUNDEFORD VC PRIMARY SCHOOL

Our curriculum is fun, exciting and relevant to prepare children for the type of skills that they might need in tomorrow’s future. We can offer a wide range of resources from an extensive field, our own indoor swimming pool to our Learning Resources Centre, complete with sixteen computers that can be folded away when not in use.

We are very proud of our 2010 Year 6 SATS results. We were one of only 7 schools in the whole of Norfolk where all the children achieved level 4 in both English and Maths. We were joint fifth for Average Point scores out of 303 schools. Our results also showed that the children did not start with such high levels but instead made great progress as they went through the school.

We are equally proud of the many other achievements that reflect the rich and varied provision we are able to offer at our school. Since 2006 we have held the national Active Mark. This award is in recognition of the wide variety of sporting activities and clubs which we offer. We have a strong sporting tradition, while in recent years have begun to explore our fenland heritage through Molly Dancing. As part of this we have named our Key Stage 2 classes after local fenland characters and our Key Stage 1 classes are named after fenland insects .

We encourage both pupils and staff to be healthy and hold both the Healthy Schools Award and the Norfolk Staff Wellbeing Logo. We also hold the School Achievement Award and Financial Management Standard in Schools.
