EDENBEARS

I dream, design and create edenbears. I do this with great care an attention to detail using only the best quality materials. I am inspired by some of the earliest bears from the past and my bears are created with those in mind. Most are very traditional in appearance whilst others, although based on tradition, may be considered to have a little contemporay twist.
I love to experiment with different shapes and proportions and find it a great labour of love. Everything is sewn by hand from start to finish and I produce only around 12 bears in one year. They vary in size from 6 inches upward and are created mostly from mohair.

ABOUT EDENBEARS: Every edenbear I produce is designed by myself in every aspect from the initial hand-drawn pattern to the completed bear. I design and make around 12 bears in a year, preferring to create only when time allows my full attention to be devoted to creating my bears. Each bear is made as a completely new design ensuring every one of them is unique and One Of A kind. They are entirely hand-stitched in all stages of their creation using only the very best quality materials and threads. Every seam is sewn twice to ensure good strength and longevity of the bear. My bears are created as heirlooms and keepsakes with the adult collector in mind, they are not toys and are unsuitable for children under 14 years of age due to the components used in their creation. MY RESTORATION SERVICE: As well as my own bear creations, I also offer a restoration service for old, pre-loved and injured bears at my TEDDY BEAR HOSPITAL, located in Morecambe, Lancashire. I realise how precious your bear (or other companion) will be to you and I will take great care of him or her whilst in my possession. I will restore faithfully and sympathetically keeping the bear as original as possible by sourcing materials as close to the original as possible for the work to be carried out. I will respect your choice to leave well alone certain features of your bear if you so wish as I know they will have become part of that special charm and character that you love. I will assess your bears requirements from photographs and give you a firm quote for the work to be carried out. I cannot guarantee a time scale for the work, I can give you an estimated time scale (usually 2-4 weeks) but such work takes care and therefore time to do well. It also takes time to source the relevant materials and as I will not rush a restoration project I hope you understand this is in the best interest for all concerned, that being myself, yourself and most importantly the welfare of your bear.
