Short profile:

Step into the new age of Ebony Optical to see for yourself how elegant, traditional, modern, funky designer eyewear is designed and distributed exclusively by us.

The engine room works at 100%, 5 days per week, all year round. We are situated in the wonderful, lush midlands of Pietermaritzburg, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa as well as the quaint market town of Oakham, Rutland, England.

From these two hubs, Ebony staff are committed to serving you, our optical partners, as all orders, stock control, dispatches, warranties etc. are fulfilled within 24 hours. Back-up and service come naturally and form the foundation of our relationship.

Detailed description:

We will always go the extra mile so don’t be surprised at who answers the phones; it could be Lisa in our UK office, or Kavitha in South Africa; Charlie our ultra on-the-ball Office Manager; Sharmy, our super efficient Stock Manager; Nina – our funky Accounts Manager; Lindsy or even the governor himself, Stretch!

A new marketing and service department will be running out of Cape Town in 2008, this hub will form part of the expansion program into the major cities to improve the service and marketing in each specific region. This challenge has been taken up by Stretch’s partner, Deano. It is his mission to focus on growing relationships with the retail partners and trades.

In both countries ETHIX is our dominant brand and is made up of over 250 models, covering traditional unisex and modern, in acetate, titanium and stainless steel.

In South Africa we distribute ZeroRH+; high tech sports lifestyle eyewear, Von Dutch; fashionable, urban street eyewear, Arquo; high tech, minimalist frames with floating lens technology and the futuristic brand of Parasite.
