Detailed description:
With a permanent fully staffed headquarters based in the heart of Eastbourne the Chamber offers up-to-date and independent advice to Members as well as information on a wide variety of subjects to Members and the public alike.
As one of the largest chambers of commerce in Sussex, EDCC works to ensure that the business issues that matter to Members are articulated and heard. The Chamber targets and influences decision-makers at local, regional and national level on behalf of Members.
The Chamber provides a range of proven opportunities to build business connections – breakfast and lunch meetings; exhibitions; Members’ evenings; sports and social events; visits to Members’ premises…. and many more !!
One of the many benefits of Chamber membership is the opportunity to offer (and take up !) discounts and special promotions through the Member to Member Trading scheme. The annual Business Directory provides a free listing for all Members as well as good value packages for enhanced advertising space. In addition, the monthly newsletter carries regular advertising inserts.
The Chamber ensures business representation on a wide range of policy making committees to make the business voice heard and to challenge policy development that will adversely affect the trading environment.
Regular events are held throughout the year on a variety of topics using expert speakers and advisors. The Chamber is able to customise events to suit demand and meet need as well as providing relaxed opportunities for more light-hearted information sharing!
