The architectural practice of Bayliss Design was established in Lichfield in 1956 as E. M. Bayliss and Partners.

The original aims of following cost effective and practical design parameters together with a keen commitment to all aspects of projects have been continued to the present day.

All contracts are administrated under various current building contracts and every project is carried out under the control of a Director who remains the client's contact from inception to completion.

The Practice has been for many years one of the leading specialists in the UK for the design of Petrol Service Stations and has a section set up solely to undertake commissions in this field throughout the country.

For the past 30 years the balance of the workload has consisted of mainly commercial, industrial and warehousing developments with an emphasis on buildings allied to parcel distribution and logistics related businesses.

The Practice has also been involved as part of design and construct teams with various design and building specialists, successfully integrating their services into the Contractor's organisation.

Our Client base has ranged from plc's, subsidiaries of multinational companies through individual distribution, warehouse or manufacturing concerns to banks, developers, building contractors, nursing or retirement homes and individuals. From an initial Client base formed in the Midlands Region our area of operation has increased to throughout the British Isles, Lichfield being ideally centrally based.

The Directors and staff are experienced at working to short design programmes and construction periods laid down by Clients. We can offer a complete service, from initial concept design, to Planning submission, detail drawings and Building Regulation Approval, to post contract supervision.
