Peaceful, traditional and welcoming with tea and homemade cake on your arrival, The Dunkery Beacon is truly unique and special bed and breakfast accomodation. All of the rooms take full advantage of the south facing panoramic views from where red deer can often be seen. Three of the deluxe suites have their own sitting room area offering additional space and comfort and our premier suite has incredible 180 degree views of Exmoor. Each of the eight en-suite bedrooms including one on the ground floor, are individually styled and decorated. They offer you the quality, comfort and facilities expected from a warm, family-run bed and breakfast home including large and comfortable beds, soft Egyptian cotton sheets, light and warm duvets, colour televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have a lovely sitting room with log burner and comfy sofas.

After a days walking, pull up a chair and absorb yourself in a book about Exmoor or just close your eyes and enjoy the peace of our home. The lovely country house atmosphere and warm welcome at the Dunkery Beacon provides a special location for group bookings. Whether you are planning a family get together, a gathering of friends to relax and unwind or a shooting, riding, cycling and walking group, we can create a tailor made package that is just right for you. We have a drying room, cycle cleaning facilities and secure storage for your equipment. DIY livery or horse hire is available 5 minutes from the house.

Beautiful walks and rides onto Exmoor are immediately accessible from the front door. Exmoor National Park is 267 square miles of open moorland which is vivid with purple heather in summer, ancient wooded oak valleys and arable farmland with historic beech hedges. Hundreds of miles of track, bridleway and country roads will enable you to explore the delights that Exmoor has to offer. Exmoor National Park has plenty to do and see. A hikers paradise.
