We engage in road and safety support from the local council for all of our children and participate in the Road Safe and Safer Routes to School campaign. Our school nurse also supports in the development of our anti-substance abuse curriculum, (drugs, drink and tobacco, and our PSHE/Sexual awareness curriculum. Our school nurse holds a weekly surgery for parents who might wish to discuss health difficulties and provides a fast track solution and access to other agencies or services. We also encourage all parents to take advantage of our in-house dental inspection in the FS and KS1.
We are involved in the TOPS scheme. We work closely with Swindon Town Football club with an after school club. We are also in negotiation with the LEA to expand the footprint of the school to enable us to have an all weather sports facility for both school and community use.
We have just negotiated a pre-school sports scheme which will provide a breakfast club sports faciliry bfor Years 3 and 4 one days a week, Years 5 and 6 another and due to the wide range of BME girls in our school a girls only facility on another day.
