The first question I asked myself is what is the chamber about ? The original aims when the chamber was established were to “…..promote, foster, and advance commercial , industrial and professional enterprise and without limitation other entrepreneurial activity, trade and business undertakings of all kind in the locality….”
Detailed description:
They seem to pretty much sum up what we are about and so the chamber will continue with these words in mind.
Regular networking events will allow businesses to showcase what they do as well as share business approaches and intelligence. If this can be done within a social environment, all the better!
Over the last year or so we have seen how essential it is to not only network business to business, but also with other organisations. We will be working more with the local Council and with community groups to improve Dorking as a proposition for people to come and shop and do business.
This is going to be a challenging year for most businesses and so it’s more important than ever that we help and work with each other.
