  I had an awful experience lasting over two weeks when dealing with this company in Leigh on Sea. I searched the Internet for the best price on a high quality lighting system for my business and purchased the lighting new thinking I had a good deal with new representing at least a years guarantee and a trouble free working life for hopefully a number of years. The pair of expensive lights that arrived were immediately noticeably second hand with scratches and dust in places that only a used item would have! One of the lights was in fact a completely different older model with a different menu structure and features! The staff when questioned when i wanted to return the items for the new ones I had purchased were very unhelpful saying I would need to pay half as a deposit of £600 to get my replacements in time for a job they were booked out for! I said i would disappoint my customer and loose money due to their deliberate attempt to sell me used items as new. Anyway the second pair of 'new' lights arrived after I paid a further £600 and these also were damaged on arrival with scratches on the casings and a faulty mercury switch. When I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and 5 days of my time out of my business routine, writing emails, testing the replacements and telephoning and waiting in for collections and deliveries i was told the shop wanted no further dealings with me and to go elsewhere. I received my refund 5 days later meaning I had to wait a total of 18 days to get nothing but a refund! The shop also advertises that it sells ex demo and used items and i believe they deliberately tried to pass of used items to me as new and it is only due to the fact that I own a PA & Lighting company that I realised what they were doing! I am now starting a case against them with trading standards! Do not deal with this store try somewhere else! I have to give a rating to publish this review so have put 1 star however the DJ superstore do not deserve it and I would give a negative rating if it were available!"
