Chris and Jean invite you to share in their enjoyment of the Diving Duckling cottage, a newly renovated holiday cottage delightfully positioned in a beautiful part of the North York Moors.

Detailed description:

We are situated just outside the village of Commondale, set in the heart of North Yorkshire about 17 miles due West of Whitby. The area boasts gentle or challenging walks, award winning museums, delightful villages, easy access to Heartbeat and Herriot Country, the charming seaside town of Whitby and the history of York. We are situated adjacent to the famous Esk Valley railway line which meanders through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and also links with the North York Moors steam Railway at Grosmont. From there a further excursion can be taken under steam power to the market town of Pickering

    I visited the cottage in winter time and I was amazed by the beautiful scenery. Absolutely dreamy. I felt like it was heaven on earth. The cottage is self catered so you can have everything you need on the spot, no need for extra baggage

    During out stay, everything turned out perfect. A definite home away from home. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with a warm, comfortable feel to it. The surroundings are breathtaking.

    We were in a need of a luxurious break so we decided to hit the road and stop near York. The accommodation choice was a great one. The Diving duck self catering cottage is a perfect resort for a getaway.

    We got everything we wanted and more. The cottage is cozy, classy and just so comfortable. I love the surroundings so much, there are definitely a lot of things to see. Being self catered, we enjoyed the chicken dinner my husband ordered and it was just perfect. I recommended it to all my friends.

    The cottages is beautifully renovated, it is the perfect retreat without a doubt. The location is just great. The cottage offers full self catering facilities. If you ever pass by, you should definitely stop by. We had an amazing time here.
