Diveworld is probably Sheffield’s longest established dive centre, offering PADI training courses for more than 11 years in the city. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experiences (DSDs) introduces people to scuba diving in a highly supervised and relaxed manner.

It dispels common misconceptions about scuba by letting individuals try it for themselves. The desired result is to excite people about scuba diving and encourage additional participation. Under direct instruction from Diveworlds’ PADI professionals, new divers learn basic safety concepts, put on equipment and swim around underwater in a closely supervised environment. After trying scuba, many new divers may decide to repeat the experience. Diveworld offers further experiences at Ponds Forge International Pool in the deep diving pit (5.8m deep) The most popular next step to your first diver certification is by enrolling on the PADI Open Water Diver course.

The Bubblemaker program introduces scuba as an activity that allows children to experience the underwater world. Under close supervision, participants swim around on scuba in shallow confined water – just playing. Colourful Bubblemaker emblems, decals, towels and toys along with a distinctive recognition certificate and card make the experience one to remember.
