Dispel Dyslexia offers private, individual, multi-sensory teaching to young people and adults (from 14 to any age) who have dyslexia or dyscalculia, or who may not have these learning difficulties but who need to improve their literacy or numeracy skills.
Teaching and learning take place in a comfortable, relaxed and quiet environment. Learning sessions are tailored to suit each student's level of skills and interests with clearly identified and achievable goals. The parents of young learners and the chaperones of vulnerable adults are welcome to stay during learning sessions.
Detailed description:
Multi-sensory teaching is regarded as the most effective way of helping people with dyslexia or dyscalculia to improve their literacy or numeracy skills. This approach makes use of our different senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch, which means that the process both of learning and teaching is creative, varied, stimulating and, above all, FUN!
