Detailed description:

Dimensions was previously known as New Era Housing Association, which was established in 1975 as a specialist provider of housing for people with learning difficulties. In 2001, we formed the New Dimensions Group with our sister company, New Support Options. We changed our name in February 2006, in anticipation of the New Dimensions Group merger that will take place in April 2007, where the Group companies will merge to become one company called 'Dimensions'. We are a not-for-profit, Industrial & Provident society with charitable status, registered with the Financial Services Authority. We've teamed up with ODEON to host an autism friendly screening of Mr Popper's Penguins in selected cinemas across the country.

We support people with learning disabilities and people with autism. A not-for-profit organisation, we are a leader in our sector, supporting around 2, 500 people and their families in England and Wales. Our aim is to enable people to be part of the community and make their own choices and decisions about their life. Our website shows how we support people to live the life they choose.

What makes Dimensions a leader in our sector is a combination of 30 year’s experience, real expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. Our approach is to put the people we support at the centre of everything we do. We welcome the government's 'personalisation' agenda which can give people more choice and control, and we are spearheading the changes that will make this a reality. Whilst we are a national organisation, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer the personal touch; to stay connected personally, engaged locally and active nationally.
