Detailed description:
The school has a reputation for supporting many learning initiatives. School has formed strong links with secondary schools which has facilitated extra teaching support in foreign languages and P.E.activities. We plan to further extend these activities in the years to come by working with a wider range of Secondary Schools..
Every child takes part in a musical performance across the school year enriching their creative arts curriculum. Those pupils who are enthusiastic in artistic events, contribute to the LA's festivals in November.
Class outings are encouraged, culminating in a residential visit in year 6. In 2008 this residential visit took the form of an organised activity programme led by an outside agency (Pioneer Centre).
The school prides itself on the wide provision for extra curricular activities and child care both pre and after school.and at lunchtimes that are run throughout the year. These include :
Football, Netball, Choir, Recorders, Multi Skills.
Many other clubs take place for set periods of time over the course of the year.
