Short profile:
We are based at Laguna Motorcycles in the heart of Maidstone, the county town of Kent, less than 3 miles from either junction 6 or 7 of the M20, and close to Maidstone West Railway Station. Maidstone is just 32 miles from South-East London, and 10 miles or so from the Medway towns of Chatham and Gillingham. A hub for major roads such as the M20 motorway, the A229, A249, A20 and the A26 with the M2 motorway just a short distance to the north.
We cater for all levels of experience - with our £20 One-Hour Taster Session (one-to-one), CBt courses, A2 and DAS courses (full licence) through to refresher and advanced training and even motorcycle instructor training courses!
Products
A2 (Standard/restricted licence) course
This is a course you take on one of our 125cc machines. Once you pass your test this allows you to ride any size of bike provided it is limited to 33bhp for the first two years after passing. After the two years have elapsed you can ride any power machine without taking a further test (or
DAS (Direct Access Scheme)
A full bike licence entitling you to ride any size of machine is gained through this course. After completing your CBT with us your training continues on a 125cc bike and, once you are proficient, progresses onto a 500cc motorcycle which is what you take your tests on.
Taster Session (one hour's one-to-one instruction)
A 'Taster Session' is an hour's one-to-one tuition from a Driving Standards Agency qualified instructor on our CBT Training area. Find out if you like biking for a modest cost. Enjoy pressure-free one-to-one attention for your first ride.
CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)
The CBT course normally takes 1 day (there is NO further charge if it takes longer). This is the starting point for everyone. Successful completion gains you a CBT certificate (also known as a DL196) which entitles you to ride low powered machines (50cc for 16 year olds, 125cc for 17 years
