Detailed description:
Mr Peter Denby set up the company in 1966 establishing the company as one of the North-West's most respected and successful sub-contract engineering businesses.
In 1977 Denby & Sharp Ltd invested in a sheet metal and fabication arm which has since grown to become an integral part of the company.
1990 saw further changes with the acquisition of our current premises, located in the Walton-le-Dale area of Preston, Lancashire, UK.
1992 saw Denby & Sharp Ltd gain ISO 9001 registration with NQA Global Assurance being our registration body. We upgraded to ISO 9001/2000 in 2005.
In 1999 Peter Denby sold the company to McIvor Industries, Mr David McIvor taking over the ownership of the company, providing further investment to enable the company to continue it's growth, along with his experience and expertise in matters financial.
In 2001 Mr Ian Davidson joined the company, bringing his knowledge and experience of the sub-contract machining industry. These changes enabled Denby & Sharp Ltd to move forward, offering improved service and capacity to our customers, enabling us to be competitive and responsive in a demanding market place.
In 2003 Peter Denby took well earned retirement, with Ian Davidson taking the reins as managing director.
Since then we have grown to employ 32 people on site; with further investment in machine tools to keep pace with demand.
