Denbies produce around 400, 000 bottles of fine wine a year. Denbies is the largest vineyard in England with 265 acres under vine.

Established in 1992 to create a category of English and Welsh wines, equivalent to the Appellation Controlée in France, as well as a Regional Wine Scheme.

Wine which is made from different grapes in order to add more complexity to the flavor and texture The goal of blending wine made in different vintages is more to balance out the flavour characteristics.

Wine that uses the name of the dominant grape from which it's made – for example: Bacchus, Ortega, Chardonnay

Quality wines are governed by each country's’ appellation’ system, which defines what grapes can be grown in specific areas and encourages the production of quality wines.
