David Parker Consulting Ltd is a company specialising in the sale, acquisition and strategic development of retail pharmacy businesses. Our goal is to help business owners, who are often too busy with day-to-day operations, get the most from their business.

A qualified Pharmacist with a Masters Degree in Business Administration, David Parker has a track record in pharmacy that extends from Grass roots business operation through large scale field management, business development and major and minor, local and international, M&A deals.

David was part of the team that was responsible for the evaluation and subsequent rationalisation of the Lloyds Chemists chain when they were first acquired by the German multinational GEHE in 1997.

When GEHE later decided to expand their presence throughout Europe in 1999 David was one of the team of pioneers sent out by GEHE to explore, plan and execute entry into these new markets for both retail and wholesale. This included markets as far afield as Hungary and Poland in the East to Belgium and the Netherlands closer to home.

Following successful entry into both the Belgian and Dutch markets, David spent several years as the Acquisitions and Development Director for Lloyds Pharmacy Benelux. As well is being responsible for all pharmacy acquisitions, David was also responsible for the entire development programme, including refits, relocations, mergers etc.

After a spell back in the UK working on the government LIFT initiative (Local Improvement Finance Trust), David decided to create David Parker Consulting Ltd, an agency specialising in Pharmacy business sales and business development and dedicated to achieving the best result for busy pharmacy owners. Existing clients range from single independent business owners to large publicly quoted multiple operators.
