Dartmouth Museum is a small, fascinating and interesting museum housed in an atmospheric old merchant's house, built in approximately 1640.

From the moment you walk through the door you will be transported into the past life of this wonderful town, and begin to understand more about the strong link between the people of the town and the sea.
The Museum has undergone a gradual refurbishment over the last few years, which enables the display of artefacts in a way which both makes them accessible, and conveys a sense of Dartmouth as it has developed into the town we know today. We have moe thimgs on display than ever before and more room to display them in using the same floor area. What a paradox!
