We have national Quality in Study Support status in recognition of the range and quality of activities that we provide for pupils outside of lessons.
Activities are provided during lunchtimes, after school, and every Wednesday afternoon by both teachers and external tutors and coaches.
Activities range across those providing direct academic support, such as examination booster sessions and mentoring, to those providing opportunities for extended learning and personal and social development, such as choir, musical instrument, drama, art, CAD/CAM, graphics, Duke of Edinburgh, outward bound courses, self defence, football, basketball, indoor rowing, dance. Particular groups, such as Gifted & Talented pupils.benefit from programmes such as:Windsor Fellowship; Valued Youth; University STEMThere are also termly rewards activities, annual fun trips and ski trips. All pupils take part in charity fund raising.
Teachers provide a wide range of enrichment activities to enhance pupils' learning, including visits to the theatre; business workplaces; laboratories; health centres; farms; places of worship. Over half of Y9 take GCSE French. As a Technology College all our pupils follow a full D&T course in KS4.
