D S Thompsett is an old established company in Cambridge. From an Audi to an Aston and a Mazda to a Maserati, we have fixed, repaired or restored them all. Vintage classic and modern cars are all covered. Services include re-trimming, car seat recovering, seat repairs, convertible hoods repaired, tailor-made convertible hoods and rear windscreen replacement. Vast experience gained over the years enables D S Thompsett to handle any type of vehicle, from a veteran London-to-Brighton entrant to a World War Two Bomber! Recent work has included a full retrim of a 1974 Aston Martin, interior for a Daimler Dart and new seats for 1905 Argyll. Opening hours :

If your driver's seat is worn, or a cigarette burn is ruining your back seat, then talk to us. We can undertake small or full repairs and make good the damage to the extent that you would not even know it was there! Why replace a whole seat or roof when a simple repair is much more cost-effective. We also work with many insurance companies and local car dealers. We can also repair and adjust motorbike seats - call to discuss in greater detail. Here at Thompsetts in Cambridge we can make just about anything for a car interior, be it a new BMW or a vintage modell.
We recently worked on this beauty - a 1905 Argyll which needed a new interior after 105 years exposure to the elements. A sympathetic restoration left the owner with a big smile on his face. We can also work on modern cars such as the MX5 or MGF. Jaguars.
Mercedes and BMW have all been in for remedial or repair work. We can also work on motorbikes, boats and just about anything that needs a cover!
