Based in Sheffield, DMR Seals are at the forefront in CNC sealing technology. The company is conveniently located in Sheffield, just off the M1 motorway in a purpose built factory. The staff at DMR have over 40 years combined experience in the seal industry and are able to offer an
un-rivalled service for all sealing requirements. Main industries covered include:- oil and gas, hydraulics, pneumatics, marine, food processing and materials handling.
There are 170 standard seal designs available for immediate manufacture. There are however 1000's of special designs which are mostly application specific. Our technical department will be happy to discuss individual requirements and propose solutions. CAD service and problem solving available on request.
Detailed description:
All DMR seals and components are manufactured using the latest CNC technology. As the seals are made with the aid of computers, all sizes are made possible, with no moulds or tooling charges. Special bespoke machinery is used to literally carve out the seal from special semi-finished tubes of material. Seals as small as 3mm can be manufactured within minutes. Typical cycle time for a component is 3-4 minutes.
All DMR Seals materials are manufactured in Europe and are stocked on site to enable immediate manufacturing when required. Materials stocked include:-Polyurethane (5 grades), Nitrile, H-Nitrile, Viton, EPDM, Silicone, Acetal, Nylon, Uhmwpe, Peek, PTFE virgin, PTFE filled (3 grades); in excess of 30 other materials available on demand within a few days.
Metric and imperial sizes can be manufactured. Smallest ID possible is 3mm or 1/8''. Largest OD possible is 2500mm or 98-1/2''. Because our seals are made using CNC technology, there is no standard or special size. All sizes from 3mm up to 2500mm and all dimensions in between can be made with ease. There are no tooling or set up costs.
DMR offer a just in time manufacturing service. Shortest manufacturing time is 3 minutes depending on the seal style and quantity. Orders can be scheduled to individual customer requirements, from 1 off's to 1000's, no job is too big or too small.
