Bordeaux is France’s premier red wine region and is divided by the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. It’s a perfect location for growing vines, with a warm sunny climate and the influence of the nearby sea regulating the temperature. On the right bank of the Gironde is home to the world famous communes of St Emillion and Pomerol. The soil is a mixture of clay, gravel and sand and the area typically enjoys hot summers. These are ideal conditions for growing Merlot and these wines tend to age sooner and their softer textures mean they can be drunk younger.

Mike Graham is a veteran of 26 harvests in South Africa and 7 in France. He was South Africa’s first flying winemaker and his experience includes 15 years as winemaker at in some of South Africa’s most prestigious Wine Estates. Mike uses the best grapes to suit not only his personal style but also that of the discerning international palate.
Plumley Moor Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot: This juicy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is a medium bodied wine with attractive soft tannins and aromas of red berry fruit and spice. It was produced from grapes grown in the maritime influenced vineyards of the Western Cape. Enjoy on it’s own or serve with grilled meat or casseroles.
