Detailed description:
The hospital has more than 500 beds and provides the following care: around 27, 000 people as elective (planned) in-patients a year, 41, 000 people are admitted for emergency hospital care, 350, 000 are treated as out-patients, nearly 120, 000 people attend the Accident and Emergency department each year. Care and treatment plans are tailored to the individual, whether you need to stay in hospital or are using our wide range of outpatient or community services. St Barnabas Chapel, the Hospital Chapel, is a freestanding building near to the Post Graduate Medical Centre and the Woodcroft Road entrance to Croydon University Hospital. It is open daily for peace and prayer and is used by patients, visitors and staff of all faiths and none. It is accessible to wheelchair users.

TMy mother was treated worse than cattle. Her room was appaling and some of her care even worse. She is going to be writting to the Croydon Advertiser to tell how it was.
